Cragwood Country House Hotel
Origianlly designed by Frank Dunkerley and built in 1910 for the industrialist Albert Warburton Craigwood boasts stunning vistas over Lake Windermere.
The house is built from stone quarried in its own grounds which are now a feature of the water gardens.
The house itself retains many of its original features including wood panelling and beautiful fire places.
The atmosphere is warm and the whole house wraps you in its rustic charm.
The stunning Lake Windermere is a short walk down hill at the foot of which is a quaint little boat house. From here I was lucky enough along with other guests to enjoy a private boat ride around the lake.
Incredible views, cosy interiors and magical touches made this venue a joy to capture.
